Where has the time gone??

Maybe it had a lot to do with the weather and the fact that it pretty much went straight from winter to summer, but it just seems like spring flew by!! Hope everyone had a nice time celebrating Easter and praising God for all He has done for us!

Still no news on the adoption front for us. Our agency keeps getting the same word from Southeast Asia, and that is that they still have one more orphanage to finish all the paperwork on and then they will start handing out referrals......"Soon" is what they have said for a least 6 months now.

Our agency travels to Asia in July and hopefully will get some answers at that time. In the meantime we wait expectantly AND patiently, knowing that it's all in God's timing and control. (sometimes are easier than others!)

We have had the privilege to watch two close friends bring home siblings from Africa in the last month. We are rejoicing with them as they are now complete families in God's design. When I see their families or pictures of other adoptive families I can't help but think of Heaven and what an awesome picture they are of every tribe, tongue and nation coming together to worship and praise God.....Oh what a day that will be!

Please continue to pray that we will get word soon as to what is going on and will see movement in the referral process...... also that we will be able to pick up our little girl soon!!

  1. The waiting is the hardest part! Is your husband growing his goatee until you get your daughter? It looks like he must have been growing it as long as you've been waiting.

  2. Chandra, that is funny! I don't know if you know who David Crowder is, he is a Christian music artist, but we keep calling him David Crowder!! His goatee has been know to scare young children :)

  3. You've sure got a beautiful family!!! Praying for news for you soon! The wait is tough, and unfortunately there's nothing do make it go by more quickly. Hang in there!!! Love to you and the family...
