China AND Southeast Asia?....seriously??!!!

YES, Seriously!! Call us crazy, as some have, but we think we will be extra blessed! As you all know the process time for referrals in Southeast Asia has become long and unpredictable. We see a great need in China and have decided to welcome a special needs child from China into our home while we wait for her sister from the Southeast! We are extremely excited as we embark on this new journey. There are a lot of things that need to come together {mostly finances} but are certain that God will provide for this since He led us to add onto our family in this way! We are hoping to be over in China next summer picking up our China doll! In efforts to raise money, I have added some new things to my Etsy shop: Thanks for helping spread the word!! And continue to pray for our process!

    If crazy means that you're willing to serve God as He so leads, no matter what that might mean or where it might take you, because you want to be used by Him to the utmost possible all for His glory, then you're totally crazy. I love what God is doing in your life right now, and I am so excited to see the outcome of your adoption journeys!

Adoption Process has begun!

A lot has happened since Tom's last post. He was laid off for 2 months and we got to see the Lord work, first hand in our lives, in miraculous ways! Through that time, one thing in our hearts did not change, our desire to adopt. If anything it grew stronger with each passing week. James 1:27 says this " Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." We are continually convicted that God says everyone falls into one of two categories, in regards to adoption....those called to adopt and those called to help others adopt. We are excited that God has placed the call to adopt in our family and look forward to the time when we can aid others to carry out His call in their own families! So here we are today. 14 Days into the 40 Days of Prayer

14 days in and I can already see God moving and working in our lives and the lives of others. Some exciting news: 5 families from our agency got their TWIMC letter ("To whom it may concern" letter is given by the government saying they have been approved to adopt their child), which means they will be traveling to get their little ones in just a couple of months!! Our family is in the next batch of 5 families whose dossiers are currently in country waiting for processing. We continue to ask, if it's God's will, that He see fit to give us our referral by March 15. We are not doing this to give Him an ultimatum, but rather because we are human and work on a time line, unlike God who is outside of time. So this is just a specific thing to pray for and we can look to a specific time to see if it's God's will.
